commissions

From time to time I do art commissions for personal use. Need a portrait of your D&D character, or a profile picture?
Not sure how to describe what you want? I have a form that may help you to get started.
This information is for non-commercial art only; if you wish to purchase art for commercial use please specify your request.
The prices for commercial artwork will differ and are counted on a different scale.
Remember to read my terms of service before you commission me.
If you have any questions you can reach out to me via social media or email.

commission types

Sketch

Sketches are available in two styles!
Normal sketches are clean and crisp and come with an option to add color and a background. Faster and cheaper than illustrations, but less polished.
Stylized sketches have a more cartoony look and allow me to play with the shapes more. Also available with color and a background!

Illustration

Polished and carefully planned paintings, varying from portraits to action scenes with full landscapes.

Tarot card

Illustrations inspired by the heavily textured style of the Dragon Age: Inquisition tarot cards.

Icon

Small portraits of your DnD character, your favorite video game character, yourself, you name it!

terms of service

Please read these terms carefully before you commission me. The terms exist to protect you as a client and me as the artist.
By commissioning me you accept the following terms.

general

» The product you are purchasing is the digital file of the finished work, not a physical replication of the art.
» All commissions are big enough for printing, most being approximately the size of an A4 (21 cm x 29.7 cm). You may ask for a custom canvas size!
» I reserve the right to refuse any commission for any reason. I am not obliged to explicitly state the reason for my refusal.
» I am willing to draw subjects like original characters, fan art, real people with some exceptions, animals and monsters, artistic nudity, suggestive content, horror themes and gore. I'm also willing to draw furries as long as the client is OK with my semi-realistic style!
» I am not willing to draw porn, nudity or suggestive content of minors, hateful content, or anything else I'm personally not comfortable with.
» If you are unsure about the subject and want to check if it is okay, you can ask me about it by emailing me or by messaging me on social media!
» People under the age of 18 are forbidden from commissioning.

PROCESS

» I will give you a time estimate in the beginning of the commission. Turnaround time for commission varies from less than a week to months, depending on complexity, deadlines and personal life. If your commission has a deadline it is important that you include the date in the commission inquiry.
» Once the full payment or the first part of it has been sent and confirmed, I will start the commission.
» You will receive previews (WIPs) of the commission. The number of WIPs depends on the size of the commission and the amount of revisions needed.
» If any delays occur I will inform you as soon as possible.
» I am always willing to talk about the process of the commission, and you are allowed to ask for updates.

COPYRIGHT & USAGE

» As the artist I withhold every right to the artwork and any WIP images of the work. The rights include:
Displaying the product on my portfolio / social media
Using the artwork to promote myself
» As the client your rights include:
Displaying the art on social media / character galleries.
Producing physical merchandise provided you are using it only for personal use and not for profit.
Making changes to the artwork such as adding text or resizing or cropping the image.
» The commissioned artwork is for your personal use only, and not to be used commercially.
» Do not claim the artwork as yours.
» I do not claim ownership of any intellectual property in work done such as original characters, creatures, and designs, unless stated otherwise.
» I will not use the artwork commissioned by clients depicting original characters for merchandise without the client’s permission.
Notice about AI and blockchain technology:
You are not permitted under any circumstances to use the finished artwork or WIPs for AI (artificial intelligence) tools; platforms or programs, ML (machine learning) tools, platforms or programs. Using the finished artwork or WIPs for blockchain technology, including non fungible tokens also known as NFTs, for advertising or profits associated with blockchains, non fungible tokens or cryptocurrency is also strictly prohibited. Use of artwork for any advertising or profits associated with these is not allowed.

PAYMENT

» The currency accepted is EUR (€).
» Payment will be conducted upfront using PayPal Invoice.
» Payments can be split in parts, depending on the price. Work starts after the first part of the payment has been received.
» The finished commission will be sent to the client only when the price has been paid in full.
» Major changes during the process, such as the subject of the commission, a new set of clothing, new large elements like weapons, or a new pose after the previous one has already been approved once by the client, are not free. Smaller edits are free, unless a part needs to be revised multiple times. Prices for these changes depend on their complexity and will be negotiated.
» Errors caused by me, such as missing parts clearly stated and/or shown in the references, will be fixed for free.

CANCELLATION & REFUND

» I reserve the right to terminate the commission at any time and for any reason.
» If I decide to terminate the commission, I will issue a refund. The size of the refund depends on the amount of work done so far; only commissions that have not been started yet will get a full refund.
» If work on the commission has been started and you request for cancellation, it will result in partial refund. The size of the refund depends on the amount of work done so far.
» You may not request a refund once the commission has been already completed.
» If refunding has been agreed on, I will personally transfer the amount back to you as soon as possible.
» If a PayPal chargeback is requested in any scenario, for example after the commission has been completed or when refunding has been agreed on, all evidence about the commission including our conversations and this TOS, will be given to PayPal to clear the case and you will be blacklisted.

Thank you for reading the terms of sercive!

Your first name, a nickname or your social media handle is fine.
Social media handle:

Commission type:

Extra elements:

References:

Pinterest moodboards, color palettes, face claims, stick figure examples of the pose; they're all helpful. If you have no images, tell me about the subject.
What do you wish the mood to be like? Should the subject be happy, neutral or sad? Maybe you have a precise vision of an action shot in mind and you just need someone to paint it?

Pretty self-explanatory. It can be the same one you use to contact me. Note that you do not need a Paypal account to pay the invoice!
